The Sunrise

by Mary O'Connor

I enjoy watching you, the sunrise
Please do not ever leave.
The dying winter looks to you for guidance
And without
You
we would all be
in a rut

Ms. O'Connor is currently serving a life-sentence at Chesterfield Ridge's satellite prison in nearby Holdings.

This made me cry a little, but that's because I might be extra sensitive because I'm on my period.
